Can I record the voice when I record my screen on Mac mini?

Can I also record the voice when I record my screen? I use a Mac mini (M1) with Sequoia. Is it okay to connect sound out and sound in?

The Mac mini has no built-in microphone, so you have to use an external device for audio. Noise is likely to be captured unless you are recording in a very quiet or studio environment where noise can be controlled or recording with a noise rejecting mic.

An option would be to record the screen and then edit the video and add narrative audio afterward. Still, the noise in the recording environment would need to be controlled.
