Markup Tool after updating to ios 18 is messed up.

Markup options in IOS 18 to add a rectangular frame to a portion of a photo seem to be messed up. I can select a square to add but it has a fill and whenever I try to change the colour of the fill or boundary, as soon as I select the colour, the whole tools bar disappears. Same is happening when I try to change the colour of any new text added to the picture. I can increase or decrease the size but on changing colours, the problem occurs.. How to fix this?
