updates are supposed to bring better performance.
However, each Apple TV update makes things break

I have excellent streaming service and haven’t had ANY problems before update and I’m reporting it.

We have a first generation 4K Apple TV, and shortly after updating to tvOS 18.0, we began to observe unexpected behavior from the tvOS YouTube app including:
The problem behavior with the app has continued. It appears that the YouTube app was updated on 8 October 2024 from the version history, but did not resolve the problems.
I've reported the problem to YouTube. Appreciate that others are sharing the problem.
Apple doesn’t own, control or have anything to do with YouTube.
If you are having issues with the YouTube service or app, contact Google for help with their service, website or application.
I have no issues with any streaming services on my iPhone, iPad or Apple TV.
I don’t use or watch YouTube.
Interesting. I also have the current 4K Apple TV model and have absolutely no issues using the YouTube app. What makes you think everyone has your issue?
As for your comment that every Apple TV update breaks things you need to understand the developers of apps for the Apple TV have the responsibility to keep their apps working, not Apple. Those developers have early access to updates for the express purpose of keeping their apps compatible. Apple is not in the business to test every single app made for ATV to make sure they work. Just the opposite, it’s the developers that have that requirement for their apps.
Hopefully you have the app auto-update option turned on your ATV so that developers can release compatibility updates and have them automatically downloaded and installed by the ATV.
