Is there any way to not accept a siri cancellation?

Example - I booked 2 hotel rooms for work. My coworker cancels, but I still plan to go. The hotel sends me a cancellation notice for the 2nd room, but Siri automatically assumes the whole thing is cancelled without allowing me to reject the cancellation. I can reject a calendar addition, one at a time on a case by case basis, but I can’t reject a cancellation at all. If I don’t accept the cancellation, it stays on my calendar but is crossed out and grayed out in display.

All previous questions I’ve seen about this suggest turning off Siri suggestions, but that is not the question. I want Siri suggestions, but we need the ability to treat cancellations just like calendar additions.
