I have a late 2013 iMac running Catalina 10.15.7 and I've been getting the following message when trying to open pages on Safari - Safari can't open the page... operation not permitted (NSPOSIXErrorDomain:1) can anyone help (I've checked and all firewalls are unblocked) or is my Mac now too old?
I doubt it. Read If Safari doesn't open a page or work as expected on your Mac. Follow all of its suggestions, even those that appear to be trivial or unimportant. Macs much older than that with commensurately older versions of Safari can still load most websites without any trouble.
Depends on the web site that you are trying to access with the old out-dated version of Safari.
for example:
I use FireFox to access xfinity TV on my 2012 Mac mini media server that is running Catalina 10.15 and Safari 15.6.1
