Previously, I could find the recent files I opened in the program by simply clicking on the file button and then opening the recent items. Now, unfortunately, the recent items do not appear. The problem is not only in the Pages program, but even in the Keynote program.

I followed your instructions but still have nothing in the "Open Recent" menu item. Any alternative workaround?
In System Settings > Control Center panel (bottom) verify that you have the Recent documents, applications, and servers set to a count and not None.

You are welcome. I keep mine set at 10. That recent menu listing won't update if you delete a file that is on it though, so be prepared for that possibility.
