Hi,
For Mac iMovie, click on iMovie/Preferences from the main menu and, in the box that pops up, set the Photo Placement to "Fit". That will turn off the Ken Burns zooming effect for all projects started after you made the preference change
For clips already in the timeline that are displaying the Ken Burns effect, click on the clip to select it and then click on the crop tool (the one that looks like intersecting angles) in the tool bar above and to the right of the screen. In the crop controls that appear Select "Fit".
If you are using iMovie for iPhone or iPad, disable Ken Burns to eliminate the effect.
