iTunes plays my podcasts in the wrong order. Still.

STILL A PROBLEM: originally posted years ago, and it's still not working. iTunes has been updated since, but the problem was not fixed.

I get that iTunes is defunct, but it's what I have on the computer I can afford.

No matter how I set iTunes, it plays the podcasts newest to oldest. It doesn't matter if the sort order is newest first or oldest first. It doesn't matter if I set it to play newest first or oldest first.

It always plays the next older podcast automatically. Yes, the one I've already listened to since I tend to play them in publishing order.

Has anyone been able to get this to work?
