The ‘Continue to sign in to icloud’ screen

This screen pops up continuously on my windows computer and I can’t get rid of it, even with password entered correctly and verification number entered correctly. It still keeps asking me to sign in. If I press ‘X’ it comes back and also account details screen beneath it. Please help me to get rid of it. I have closed down and rebooted, but no joy. Thanks
