Why can’t I sign in to my Apple Account on a new iMac?

I'm setting up new iMac and am being asked to confirm Mac password. I hit continue and get white pop up with spinning circle thing, then pop up disappears and the problem still exists. As result of this I can't sign in with my Apple ID.

You’re not the only one going through this today.

The same exact thing is happening to me.

I go to iCloud or Apple Account to sign in and I’m brought to a blank page where I see a spinning sign and then it re-routes back to the sign-in page.

I changed my password several times and even tried different emails.

I’ve tried ALL the Apple troubleshooting advice online.

Nothing works.

I can only hope it’s a glitch on Apple’s end and it gets fixed ASAP. I’ve spent hours on this today. Very frustrated.
