AirPods 4 ANC - low call volume on MS Teams on Windows 11

The issue is remains to be the same as was on AirPods 2 Pro and it was resolved mostly by just increasing volume on an AirPods steam. However, AirPods 4 doesn't have this option.

I've tried to play with all posible audio settings in Windows 11 and MS Teams but got no luck so far.

Any help here is much appreciated.

I have been facing with the same issue with my brand new Airpods 4. I'm using MS Teams in daily basis and one of the reason I purchase Airpods was conducting meeting without any cable salad of other headphones. Surprisingly, I cannot hear anything during the teams meeting with Airpods 4. The volume must be set roughly around 10% or 15% of Airpods capacity. Apparently both parties (Apple and Microsoft) should deliver some immediate update. This is not acceptable!

Thanks for your suggestion tom_ra, I'll try that trick on my next meeting. However, I believe it's not the way it should work. I've just switched from AirPods 3 to 4 and I faced no issues with AirPods 3.

I've tried adjust a lot of settings in Windows 11 and MS Teams like Loudness Equalization, Automatically adjust mic sensitivity, Sync device buttons, Noise suppression, drivers updates, etc. Nothing is working.

Teams meetings is a significant part of my daily work so I'm not sure I need AirPods 4 as I can't use them properly. Thinking about how I can turn it back to seller.

Hi everybody, I just got my new Airpods 4 ANC, and immediately experienced the same issue with MS Teams. This is unacceptable. I tried all the suggestions and it simply doesn't help. I want to hear properly and I want others to hear me properly. I am not willing to compensate with microphone being switched to another device. Apple and Microsoft please fix this issue! This is an insult to us as your customers.

Yeah, sorry. This system doesn't seem to put the replies with what you're replying to. If you click the "in response to" link above my first post, you'll see what I was replying to. My experience was slightly different. Here's what I did.

  • Go to Device Manager (click the Windows start button and start typing "device manager" and you'll find it.
  • Expand "Bluetooth"
  • Find AirPods (not the "avrcp transport" one -- I don't know what that one does, but I didn't disable it)
  • Right click and open up "Properties" -> "Driver" -> "Disable Device"
  • Restart PC and it works

Has anyone found a fix?

Switching the microphone to a different input used to work, but as of late last week no longer works either.

I have tried everything I can possibly think of and have combed the web for every fix imaginable from restarts replacements and settings in device manager.

Really need to get this figured out for work, shocking it is such a known problem that won't get fixed.
