Apple CarPlay Not Working in iOS 18.0

I am using iPhone 13 and recently I have updated to iOS 18.0. Since that day, maps are showing blank on the car when I connect through the Apple CarPlay, and a message is displayed after a few minutes on the car screen stating the location information is not available. When I start the car immediately maps are turning to blank on the car display.

You can use the Reset settings option as a last resort when the other suggestions don’t work for you, and I think it’s the best approach to save yourself from having to modify all your settings again. Before that, you can try forgetting and reconnecting your iPhone to CarPlay, and also try a force restart Force restart iPhone – Apple Support (US). If that doesn’t work, there is another resource where all possible methods are discussed in detail that can help resolve carplay connectivity issues: 9 Ways to Fix Apple CarPlay Not Working. I hope this helps. Best regards!

Sound problem in carplay after iOS 18 update, when music is played, the iPhone screen turns on for some reason, the quality of the music becomes like the sound of the radio, and when the screen is turned off, the music stops. I tested the ios 17 version, the sound is clear and good like before, after the 18 update, there was a problem and I can't connect with the cable, I'm connected with bluetooth, there's no problem with the cable, I'm waiting for your answer. Thanks

I recently updated my iPhone 15 Pro to IOS 18. Since then, I have nothing but problems with my phone. The camera is zooming in and out on its own and won't take pictures. The flashlight goes on without prompting. It will switch to voice recording on texts without prompting. CarPlay music isn't working either. The music plays from one speaker, then turns off. When restarted, the music then plays from the phone, while appearing on my car screen and reacting to my touch to play or pause. I'm in constant reboot mode foR my phone. IOS 18 is a nightmare!

Apple Needs to issue a fix for whatever bugs this IOS 18 update has.

Mine too! Wireless CarPlay no longer working with my Skoda Karoq and iPhone 13 Pro. Works on the cable, but not wireless. Have tried removing device from car and re-setting up. Have force re-started the phone and updated with the 18.01 patch update. Skoda screen says cannot connect or disconnects as soon as I pull the cable. Infuriating!

ITS THE CABLE! Needs to be a USB to USB-C cable that does DATA as well as recharges. NOT likely you have one lying around in a drawer with the other random cables. My IT guy figured it out. Sent me to BestBuy to get said cable (Insignia, 3.3 feet, $19.99). Plugged it in and it worked like a charm. On BOTH vehicles. So happy. Spread the word! ITS THE CABLE!

iPhone 12 (iOS 18.01) and Toyota Corolla 2020 via wired connection. (Corolla 2020 modells support wired CarPlay only) After upgrade iOS 18 something went wrong with CarPlay 18. All of CarPlay functions are working fine except phone calls. Both of incoming, and outgoing calls are killing the CarPlay 18 in my car. If I initiating or receiving calls, all CarPlay functions dying. Can not break the call, can not finish it, Waze screen breaks, Spotify stops playing. Car screen is out of action when the call is active. After the end of call I need to wait cc. 30-40 seconds, and CarPlay is coming back. (or not) :-)

Removed the Car System from the Phone, disconnected, reconnected, restarted, reseted, so I danced all of rain-dance cases. :-) Apple suggested to rename the Phone, reinitiate the connection, but there is no change. Any other idea guys?

Many thanks in advance.
