new homepods no music or podcasts

What am I doing wrong please ? The speaker just says here is the latest news.. sorry there is a problem with Apple Podcasts …. Or sorry there was a problem with Apple Music

I have them connected to a new Apple TV and use them - as I understand allowed - as the default speaker

Apple Music on Homepod I have two 1st gen Homepods paired as stereo. I have an AppleTV 4K (3rd Gen) that is connected to eARC on my TV. In the Settings on Apple TV I default audio set to the homepod speakers, and Audio Return Channel set to Play Television Audio. It all works great, except when I turn off the TV, and then ask Siri to play any music on the homepods, Siri says "OK, (music) now playing..." and nothing plays. Then after about 1 min. Siri says "Sorry, there's a problem with Apple Music." The only way I can get it to play music is to go back into the AppleTV and change the default audio back to TV speakers, which I don't want to do all the time. Any ideas anyone?

Apple Music/Homepod issues since TVOS 18 My setup is Apple TV 4K (2nd Gen), 2 OG HomePods. Steaming apps work without issue. Apple Music worked fine before updating to TVOS 18. Now it plays songs to begin with, then either changes quality, loses bass and become super quiet OR stop audio altogether but the music app shows as still playing. Restarting doesn’t make a difference.

Homepod mini wont poay music alone Hello, please help me. When i say to my homepod to play something he will say after few seconds there was a problem with apple music. I have it conected to my apple tv as main speaker… i dont understand why its working when apple tv with tv is turn on… Does anybody know any solution to play the homepod without apple tv thanks

Actually, when I navigate to the Apple Music app on tv and select a track music it just says “ not playing”

asking the home pod to pause tv is ignored too

any ideas of what I am doing wrong in set up please ?
