Stuck on restoring iPhone 16 Pro Max

I discovered that using the iTunes version from the official Apple website (https://www.apple.com/itunes/) instead of the Microsoft Store version resolved the issue. My iPhone 16 Pro got stuck during restoration at the same step each time.

While the iTunes and Apple Devices apps from the Microsoft Store were up-to-date, it seems that some components included with the software might be missing or outdated. I tried both apps multiple times (5-6 attempts) on two different Windows machines (one AMD, one Intel), but neither worked.

Hello, i had the same Problem with iPhone 16Pro.

My Solution was to install 3rd party software "imazing" on windows PC. Imazing (and maybe other 3rd party Apps) allows you to install new mobile device services. After that, restoring iphone 16 Pro on windows PCs with the Apple Devices App is working fine.

Your solution is the best. I have uninstall Apple Devices, Apple Music and Apple TV apps and installed only iTunes.

It worked perfect. My iPhone was reset fast and I could recover my backup.

The same thing happened to me, and it took me hours to resolve it after multiple testing. For Windows users, use iTunes instead of Apple Devices app to restore iPhone 16 Pro series. If you have Apple Devices app installed, uninstall the app and restart your computer first before attempting it with iTunes again.

Is your computer up-to-date? Have you tried different cords? Have you tried different ports? Have you temporarily disabled the computer security/firewall?

I am having the same problem with an Ipad mini 6th generation. I was trying to download software from my PC (mistake) using the new Apple Devices app.

Update patch on your Pc/Laptop update itune or 3uTools
