My Focusrite USB-C audio interface stops working when I reboot my 2018 Mini

I have a Focusrite USB-C audio interface connected to a Mini which has been the case for several years. I use it both for recording and handling audio output from the Mini. Yesterday, I upgraded the macOS from Sonoma to Sequoia and discovered that the Focusrite was no longer automatically recognized by the Mini; instead I have to unplug then re-plug the USB-C cable into the Focusrite. This seems like a bug to me. Anyone else seeing the same?

The Focusrite support page, https://support.focusrite.com/hc/en-gb/articles/12033372452754-Focusrite-Compatibility-on-macOS , states:

"On macOS Sequoia 15.0.0 & 15.0.1 we have been made aware of an issue where some interfaces will not appear as an audio device and will not connect to Focusrite Control until the interface is either turned off and on again or the USB cable is reconnected to the mac once the mac has booted. Once this has been done the interface will work as expected until the mac restarts. We are investigating this problem and this article will be updated once fixed."

I have an M1 Mac Mini w/macOS Sequoia 15.01 connected to a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 (3rd Gen) Firmware 1605 and it's working perfectly fine in Sequoia, no issues whatsoever.

It is directly connected to a Dell monitor with a built-in KVM switch. I can toggle between Linux & macOS computers and the Scarlett switches over with no problems. I also do not have problems with the Scarlett 2i2 (3rd Gen) directly attached to USB 2.0 type A connector on the Mac Mini.

Check you aren't using a USB hub, docking station, etc. Doing so may result in your needing to resolve a hardware / firmware compatibility issue with Sequoia. Several manufacturers had to update their firmware / software to be compatible with macOS Sequoia and some vendors may still be working on the problem.

I have the Mac Mini M4, and was frustrated by this problem as well, particularly because I just bought this thing! Where I have my mini makes it a bit of a challenge when I have to unplug and re-connect the USB cable into the port, so yesterday to make it easier on myself I decided to plug it into one of the front ports rather than the rear ports. I am *not* having the issue with my interface plugged into one of the ports on the front of the mini!
