Why was “Apple recommended replies” renamed to “top ranking replies”? Back then when best answers on Apple support communities were labeled as recommended by Apple, but now they’re called top ranking replies. I have no idea why.

Only the Hosts could say, if even they could (or would be allowed to), but my guess would be that Apple no longer wished to have to evaluate and endorse any given reply, these being user-only forums. "Top ranking" is, I believe, based solely on user votes for any given reply.

Apple changed some of its support policies last year. In the process, they changed the forums to a "vote-based" system. I liked it better the old way too.
