Renaming iPads in Garageband Jam Session

I teach music at an Apple 1 to 1 school. I'm doing a songwriting project with my class, and they are working in groups to create using the Jam Session feature. When a student joins a session, all of the surrounding iPads show as "iPad." The issue is the students can't tell which iPad is which. As a result, they are accidentally joining other people's sessions, which is ultimately deleting their progress. Is there anyway to differentiate the devices in Garageband?
