I have a Lacie external hard drive that I saved files on from an old windows computer. I am able to open the drive and view all of the files just fine. However, I'm able to delete anything. I don't want to delete the whole drive. I just want to clean up the drive and still save most of the files.

Back up the files you want to keep and then either install software such as Paragon NTFS or erase the drive as desired.
Regardless of whether or not you choose to erase the drive, it may fail at any time.
