Running Mojave. Tested memory and all drives. It will unpredictably suddenly freeze, and if there is sound playing, the sound repeats like a broken record. I have to shut it down and restart. Any ideas? Thanks.

Kernel Panic Reports are stored in the Folder at:
/Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports
If you copy and paste that string into:
Finder > Go menu > Go to Folder
it will take you to the Folder where those reports are stored.
Kernel panic reports are named with Date&Time and start or end in ‘panic’
If you find one, please post the entire report here, by using the “additional text” Icon in the reply footer (looks like a paper with writing).
Please don’t post more about 20 lines of any other types of reports — they are interminable, and any information useful for this purpose is on the first screenful.

By far the easiest way to cause poor performance, instability, overheating and crashing is to install ANY third-party speeder-uppers, Cleaners, Optimizers, or Virus scanners, Bit Torrent, or a VPN that you installed yourself. They are relentless in scanning your files, non-stop, looking for virus-like patterns in Everything, or looking for files that have changed. When completed, they do it all again.

That report appears to be a RAM memory panic.

It's a Samsung EVO860 1TB SATA SSD, about 3 yrs old. I actually cloned it before trying to upgrade to Catalina. I literally erased it and reloaded it with the data from the clone. I tried running the computer on the cloned HDD and it worked great for 7 days.

I haven't had a chance to download DriveDX or EtreCheckPro yet. I'll let you know how it goes when I do. Also, I thought maybe the Samsung was beginning to fail, so I bought a new PNY 2T SATA SSD and cloned it, but dang it, it's still freezing. lol
No, I'm not. For more clarity, I did try to upgrade to Catalina using OpenCore, but it didn't work, or I missed a step and it failed.
BTW, I get a PANIC report when this happens after I restart. I've saved the last few if you want to check them out.
Wow, thanks for the info. I guess I'll be monitoring my memory for the next few days, Would employing the process of elimination be a good idea in your opinion?
The Mac Pro is watching each and every memory cycle. Just keep asking, and one of these times it will set the Bad module aside, or tell you it has an error.
