iOS 18.0 Adds Calendar Icon Next to ALL All-Day Events!

Is a horrible design that should be allowed to toggle on or off. For me, it’s too busy on my eyes. It’s hard to look at the calendar now and I’ve always relied heavily on it. It reminds me of skew ball; a classic arcade game that’s no longer enjoyable due to all the colors and flashing lights that will make someone have an epileptic seizure. Bring back to old wooden skeeball with orange balls and no lights. Hope Apple gives the option to see the previous calendar view without all the “flashing lights.”

It's horrible idea. Waste of space, always needed, and it serves nothing.It occupies room in the calendar and on the lista of daily events on the left. Pls take that thing off. I'll probably look for another calendar. Who had this idea?? There are other things to be fixed bfr playin with an unusefull icon and "all day" or the tinme of the event.

I'll add my voice to the chorus of disliking this "feature".

It unnecessarly uses space we need for good reading/access and less populated. The events displayed on the calendar itself remain narrower and barely can be read. Pls eliminate that!!!

I don’t mind the icon for events if don’t have an emoji on the event because it helps with spacing for the ones I do have it.

But I don’t like that it’s inconsistent and there’s no rhyme or reason to it. Some are pill shaped events while others are rounded rectangle… and it’s not a difference between annual occurring or weekly or non-repeated events.

There are numerous examples that show they do. For example, last year when they change the way you select watch faces, there was a concerted feedback campaign. Apple changed it within a couple of months (maybe less).

Apple doesn't read here so complaining here, while perhaps cathartic, is unlikely to effect any real change.

The reality is that Apple does whatever it wants to, and if it decides to change this functionality, they will on their terms and timing. It is what it is.

That is the way Apple has always been.

I am probably the only person here but I like this addition and IMHO it's a way better way than seeing those pipes all the way on every item.
