When I fist launched the app store after updating to Sonoma from Monterey Final Cut just said open not update like it should. I had to do a search in the app store for Final Cut Pro and then the update button was available. Apple needs to fix this bug as I saw posts from 2023 with folks having the same issue. It was not showing up in my list of purchased updates either.

If you have an issue you should use feedback to report here. The users here can’t do anything.
Thanks Tom the point of me posting this is to let other users know how to get around the bug if they have the same problem, already reported to apple thanks.
