Can I use Migration Assistant between Monterey and Ventura or later operating systems?

I have a MacBook Pro,2016 model, still running fine on Monterey. But as I understand it, Mac with no longer support security updates on Monterey after November 2024. Would like to purchase a new MacBook, which will arrive with Ventura installed. Can I use Migration Assistant to transfer my data and software, even with different O/s installed on each? If not, how do I do so?
