How can I stop location sharing prompts when deleting messages?

When I delete an iMessage conversation with a family member, I get the question "would you like to stop sharing your location with the participants of this conversation". Why is that question even asked? If I want to stop sharing, I know how to do so and will stop. I don't need to be asked every time I delete a conversation. Is there any way to turn off this annoying question and just keep sharing like I intend to?
