Taken out of storage, Mac Pro has no display.

I have a Mac Pro 2012 Westmere machine that I had in storage for a few months.

I've just hooked it up, but I get no display. The monitor displays "no signal". I do get the chime when it boots, and my wifi router sees the machine get an IP address over the ethernet connection, so I think the machine is running OK.

The video card is the stock ATI 5770. I'm am connecting this card to my display using the DisplayPort.

Any ideas what may be happening? Any suggestions that I should try to fix this?

ATI 5770 unmodified can not Install or Run Mojave, because it is Not Metal-capable. Runs High Sierra just fine.

How did you get Mojave installed? a metal-capable card is required, and a firmware update is included.

Ugh... this is using an nVidia GeForce GTX 680 video card... Not the ATI 5770 that I expected.

My 4K display is detected in the System Report at being 3840x2160. But the default resolution is 1920x1080.

I was wrong... it is running Catalina.

I've rigged up an HDMI cable and now have a display. For some reason it is not showing anything when connected using DisplayPort.

I've decided just to rewire my desk and use the HDMI display...

I still don't know why it's only getting 1920x1080, but that problem is for another day.
