How do you prevent your child from downloading your App purchases when family sharing is turned on?

This has been a constant struggle and seems like a huge oversight in the Screen Time Controls since its inception.

My Son has Screen Time restrictions turned on and has to ask to download new apps on his device in the App Store, but because of family sharing he can download any of my apps without permission. There are many Apps that I have purchased that I Do want to share, but I still want him to have to Ask to download/install them.

Is there another way to block the Family Shared Apps from being installed without asking without turning off Family Sharing?

Blocking the App Store App still gives them the 1 Minute to Get in there and download a new App, that new App is not Blocked as its not on the device at the time the App Restrictions were setup.

I end up having to install all of the apps on his device and then adding them to the block list. That still allows that 1 minute.

This really needs to be addressed!
