Logic Pro quitting unexpectedly after moving Apple Loops to external drive

Hi,

I teach music in a Mac lab with 30 machines. Each has about 15 local usernames that aren't Admin. I install updates on an Admin login.

There is not enough space on the drives for the entire loop library but when I move the loops to an APFS formatted drive, I am eventually getting the "Logic Pro quit unexpectedly" error message every time Logic opens.

The only fix seems to be to remove the external drive for now and download a smaller library of sounds.

I have tried to delete the

com.apple.logic10.plist
com.apple.logic.pro.cs

and that doesn't help.

Specs:

24 inch iMacs

8-core CPU

M1 256 GB

Logic Pro 10.8 or 11.01 (varies)

Sonoma 14.6.1

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance
