TMP and sentinel files in iTunes library; can I delete the temp files

I have more than one copy of my iTunes Media folder with associated library. The media files are identical. One I use to play music, the others are back-ups. The library file for the one that gets regularly played is much larger. This library has a sentinel file (last updated today at 8 bytes) plus two temporary [TempFile.tmp (54.7 MB dated 7/4/23) & TempFile 1.tmp (51.1 MB dated 7/28/24]. Can the two tmp files be deleted without messing up the function of the iTunes library? The temp files each contain a long series of letters, number, and symbols.
