Family Sharing with different Apple ID

Hi,

I have created a family sharing where there are 2 members, a daughter and a parent, however when trying to add the parent account (parent@hotmail) to my iPhone where I am using (parent@icloud.com) it doesn't let me do it. It is not possible to use a different Apple ID in your iPhone than in Family Sharing?

Thanks!

Apple uses a single email address as the identifier for each account. So to me it is sounding like you may have multiple accounts, or you are simply not using the correct identifier (Apple ID) for the single account. If your account is identified using a Hotmail address then even though you can use iCloud Mail under an iCloud address insie that Hotmail addressed Apple Account, you have to sign in on the device using the Hotmail address. The iCloud address is for email purposes only, unless it is the Apple ID for a second Apple account.

For most purposes you can only sign into an iPhone with a single Apple Account.
