garageband mic mode

this is more of a tip than a question... using Macbook Air 2020 , Sonoma 14.6.1 -

by chance I discovered GarageBand mic mode, then inadvertently left it set to Voice Isolation.

The next time I tried to record acoustic guitar - through an interface / external mic, GB did not record the guitar sound, just "percussive clicks".

Had no idea the Mode setting would override an external mic / interface; thought is was only for onboard mic.

"went crazy" trying to find the problem...

Set this to Standard for acoustic guitar recording !! =-|
