New IPhone 15 draining battery very fast

I picked up my IPhone 15 base model less than 1 week ago and the day I first got it till now I have noticed really bad battery drain. I have spent alot of money on this phone and its battery is way too similar to the old, cheap android I had. I have tried turning off background app refresh and all the things online. I use alot of Tiktok but I think my phone should be able to run perfectly fine even with a couple apps that might be bad for the battery since its a 1000$+ phone in Canada. I left my house with about 58% an hour ago to go grab food with family and did a little bit of scrolling and when I got home (just now) I come back with 38. This is completely unacceptable. I've seen many people complaining and they just say "Its a new phone and it needs time to optimize" and Im not sure if I should trust that or not. I have a couple friends that own the same phone as me and they get about 3-4 MORE hours than I do with the same battery capacity (100%). Please help.
