Apple Education Pricing Issues Due To Free Gift Card?

Hi all,

My sister in law is trying to purchase a MacBook Pro through the Education Pricing and Student Discount Apple Store.

However, attempting to pay using the Barclays Financing option isn't possible as it's greyed out.

The small print underneath says 'Items in your order are not eligible for this payment method. Please select another form of payment. Barclays financing requires all items to ship together. Some items in your order shop seperately or are not eligible for Barclays financing'.

Is this due to Apple giving away a £120 Apple Gift Card with the purchase, even though it gets delivered via email?

She's rather do without the gift card so she can pay using the financing option but there's no way to remove it from the checkout process!

Any ideas anyone?
