I did the normal import of the playlist. However, only that which I purchased from iTunes store shows in the library, the other 485 albums were not imported into my new computer. Only a portion of the playlist was imported and it claims that those files are not even downloaded which they are on the external drive.

Problem solved. I uninstalled Apple Music, Apple TV and iTunes. Then I reinstalled only iTunes. Now all is good.
