FaceTime handoff does not work between my iPhone 13 and my MacBook Air

i have all the settings for handoff on across all my devices such as my Macbook air (2024 ver) and my iphone 13, all updated as well yet i am not able to switch on facetime to any of the devices and am only able to call on the device i am calling from. how do i fix this?

all settings are on and all devices are updated to the latest IOS.
