I have always been keeping a track of battery percentage, every time that I have updated iOS 2 to 3% of battery health has been reducing. I am sure the battery is still at 98% as I have not even crossed 6 to 8 months of usage on my new iPhone 15, but due to software update issues, the percentage has been going down. Really disappointed with this.

Latest I had updated to ios17.6.1 and 4-5% of my battery maximum capacity reduced this is really ridiculous by Apple . My iphone15pro is just 8 months old and battery has reduced to 92% . Worst phones and worst quality by Apple this time 👎. I’ve been using iPhone for 9 yrs now but never experienced this.

Batteries degrade over time with usage due to chemical aging, that's just how they work.
You can expect about a 1% drop per month with average use on an iPhone. This is an approximation, that is why it may be plus or minus a few percent on a month to month basis.
Apple recommends replacing it when it reaches 80%. To check your battery health, go to Settings > Battery > Battery Health.

What did the techs say at the Genius Bar when you took the phone in to have the battery checked and tested?
Havent got it opened and tested. Iphone 16 is launching in a month. Maybe its time and they too want us to change to new iphone.
