Late 2015 iMac Keeps Restarting
Hello,
My late 2015 iMac keeps restarting, saying it had a kernel panic, and then giving this error report (added in additional text). It doesn't only happen when I play Sims 4 but does happen most often when either Sims 4 or Roblox is open. However, there are times when they're open for only a few minutes and it restarts or sometimes over an hour. No specific task or length of time in either game makes it restart. This computer used to run games just fine so I'm not sure what happened to it.
Info on computer:
- late 2015 iMac running in macOS Monterey v12.7.6
- Processor - 2.8 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5
- Memory - 8 GB 1867 MHz DDR3
- Graphics - Intel Iris Pro Graphics 6200 1536 MB
- Storage - 1 TB SATA Disk
Things I tried:
- First aid in disk utility
- Factory resetting (by starting in recovery mode, deleting disk, and reinstalling macOS)
- Made sure it's an Apple mouse and keyboard being used
After factory resetting didn't work, I'm at a loss as to what I should do next. I know a good amount about tech but not once it gets into the fine details like this. I figured I can post on here and, if this fails, take it to an Apple store. The closest one near me that does appointments is pretty far, though, so I'd like to avoid that if possible. I also know that this is an older iMac model and am not sure how much help I can get with it now.
Thanks in advance!
