And, believe it or not (you probably don’t) VPN was never intended to be a security feature, and using it can actually reduce your security, because there is a middleman who knows all of your secrets (the VPN service provider), and ALL of the free ones sell your secrets (how else can they stay in business), and some of the paid ones do also (AVG/Avast, for example).
