I want to reduce the size of picture on my iPhone

I can reduce the size of picture on my phone. I tried to squeeze the corners to reduce but no go. I can’t call out or even cut it off because I can’t get to top of screen to slide to close.

Cannot crop picture while editing home screen I am unable to crop pictures when using the edit picture feature to customize my Home Screen on my iPhone 12 ProMax with latest updates. I'm able to use the pinch gesture to reduce the size of the picture to where I want it, but when I release the pinch, the picture returns to the original size. Am I doing something wrong?

Try triple-tapping on the screen. Or, "Hey, Siri, turn off Zoom".
