(Fixed) Apple Maps "Documents and Data" Storage Issue

Recently experienced issues with Apple Maps taking up roughly 19 gigs of data. Steps taken to address issue:

1. Delete/redownload app + cleared stored guides (did not work);
2. Cleared maps history (from Apple Support): Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services > System Services, then tap Significant Locations. Tap Clear History (did not work);
3. Create backup + restore the device + redownload back up onto iPhone (from Apple Support) (WORKED).

Third option was the winner. Although time consuming, Apple Maps is now less than 100 MB in storage.
