Split regions loop in garageband

I am having the same problem….everytime I “cut” a segment of the project, suddenly there are several, sometimes many loops that section that was cut, appended to end of the project….. the only way I have found to correct this is drag loops til they say ‘Loop Off”. Which is insane and makes garageband almost unuseable.

What kind of region and track are you asking about? I cannot reproduce the problem in my GarageBand version. When I split a region in a real audio track it does not loop, also in a midi track.
