ios 17.6 BREAKS EE wifi calling

I have the same issue with iOS 17.6.1. Is it the case that one should not upgrade unless they have a valid connection to their wireless carrier? Seems like an Apple installer could be sure those were the conditions if there’s some good reason we’re all dealing with this. But, hey, Apple, it’s summer and we’re not all at home!

Updated to IOS 17.6 overseas and my Verizon wifi stopped working. Not happy at all …!!!! Does anyone knows how to fix this ?? Thanks a lot !!

If restart did not sort the issue continue:

Force Restart,

Force restart iPhone - Apple Support

Same here. WiFi calling stopped working (it is turned on as before) with 17.6 update. I tried toggling it on and off, and didn’t make any difference. Both mine and my wife’s iPhone 15 pro max effected. We have no tower signal at all at home location so basically cellular calls are non-functional. FaceTime etc works fine.

Anyone have a solution?

About 24 hours later this seemed to fix itself. I had tried everything I could think of, and was literally headed to my car to see if I drove to where there was Verizon coverage if that would help, when I received a burst of text messages from non-Apple devices and found I could complete a WiFi call. Weird!

I have the same issue, not only with my phone (updated to 18.0) but with my Mac - now that is has updated to macOS Sequoia, I can no longer watch BBC over a VPN...
