QuickTime Player wont playback audio SUNOMA 14.5

I use QT P to record audio from my keyboards via SCARLETT FOCUSRITE audio interface.

It records but it wont output on the SCARLETT

it will out put on the STUDIO DISPLAY SPEAKERS

the setting for in and out is SCARLETT 8i18

this used to work

i have checked audio midi settings

system settings- the output is greyed out for the SCARLETT

any help greatly appreciated
