"Your system has extensions or settings installed that are incompatible with Private Relay" Hi. I've read a number of threads on this. My problem, like that of many others , is that I haven't a clue on what is causing Private Relay not to work. I tried removing VPN services, Safari extensions, anything I thought might have an impact. Nothing did it. I then installed EtreCheckPro and generated a report, but the report is less than clear too, at least to my layperson's eyes. Could someone please help me tease out of the EtreCheckPro report what the problem might be? Thank you in advance. Cheers, Francisco

My new iMac will not allow the use of Private Relay. I got a message stating that it is incompatible with current settings. I use a VPN. Is that why I cannot use Private Relay? Can Private Relay be used simultaneously with a VPN?

Private relay Unavailable ? Just got this message on my iMac Never have gotten this befoe what does it mean/ and what s it referring to?

Get rid of NordVPN. It's not necessary and may actually be harmful.

Don't use VPN services

Private Relay and VPNs are not the same. VPNs purport to encrcypte all internet traffice. Private Relay only encrypts Safari traffic. Private Relay offers more privacy than a VPN. With a VPN, you have to trust the VPN provider to not log your data. With iCloud Private Relay, Apple and its relay partners are not able to log your data because the proxies are blind.
