How to re-upload hidden music files to my iPod?

Recently I was uploading songs onto my ipod and after I ejected it to play the songs, all of my music files and a lot of others were hidden. I used command+shift+period to see the hidden files which is great but they are still hidden. I was wondering how I am able to re-upload them onto my device so I am able to play and view the music. Thank you
