I purchased 2 home pod mini speakers a while ago they have never worked close to correctly

The issues are manifold. First I can NOT maintain a clear connection to the units. The “Home” application allows me to do exactly nothing. iTunes across Apple play is sporadic. I am deeply disappointed with this product. My experience with Apple products goes back literally to 1986 when I used a Mac Plus to run a 16 unit modem bank bulletin board. I was instantly impressed and enchanted. I had been involved in computing academically since 1969. I loved everything especially the OS. My first disappointment came in early June of 1992 when the Quadra 900 I purchased the month before was obsolesced by the Quadra 950 and because of boards and ram I was way under water with a new expensive obsolete machine. So it’s been a long time since I had a problem but I can’t let this go. I spent the 349 and have never been satisfied.
