Title: Issues Installing Windows 10/11 via Boot Camp on macOS
Hello everyone,
I'm encountering persistent issues while trying to reinstall both Windows 10 and Windows 11 via Boot Camp on my macOS system. Previously, I successfully installed Windows 10 without any problems. However, after removing the partition and attempting to reinstall it months later, I've faced recurring difficulties.
Initially, Boot Camp Assistant couldn't create the partition. After reformatting the drive, I successfully recreated the partition, but during the installation process for both Windows 10 and Windows 11, I encountered the same error:
ERROR "The disk and partition specified in the <ImageInstall> setting of the auto-install replies file could not be located. Verify that this setting references a valid partition, and then restart the installation"
Additionally, I've noticed a discrepancy in Disk Utility where it shows double the amount of storage space compared to what is physically available. This discrepancy may be related to the issue.
Here are some details about my setup:
Steps I've taken to resolve the issue:
Formatted the drive and recreated the Boot Camp partition.
Verified and repaired the disk using Disk Utility.
Attempted to install Windows 11 using a bypass via Regedit before initiating the installation.
Despite these efforts, I continue to encounter the same error. Has anyone else experienced similar issues or have suggestions on how to resolve this? I would appreciate any advice, especially regarding the Disk Utility storage space discrepancy and troubleshooting steps specific to Windows 11 installation.
Thank you!
