Does the 2024 iPad Pro support USB 3.2 Gen 2x2

I want to connect the SAMSUNG T9 SSD to my new 2024 M4 iPad Pro. Does anyone know if my iPAD will support USB 3.2 Gen 2x2?

The iPad Pro M4 specifications make no mention of USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 - but lists USB3 support being limited to 10Gb/s maximum throughput. However, the iPad Pro M4 supports Thunderbolt 3 / USB4 @ 40Gb/s:

Please excuse the ignorant question but is this saying that if I get a Thunderbolt 3 cable and connect it to a USB 3..2 Gen 2x2 device that I will get transfer rates of 40Gb/s?

No. Your USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 device will be limited to 10Gb/s.

For maximum performance with your iPad Pro M4, choose an alternative storage device that supports Thunderbolt 3 or USB 4.
