Syncing Old Touch Onto Catalina

I have a second generation Ipod Touch that was synced with an old PC (no longer exists). I'd like to get the music and playlists transferred from it onto a Macbook running Catalina (preferably into a separate Music library from the default). Is there a way?

When I plug it into the iMac with a USB cable, it shows in the finder window, but if I choose it, I don't get the sync options. I just see four folders, all empty. It doesn't show the music currently on the iPod. All the answers I have found reference using iTunes, but iTunes was replaced with Music in Big Sur (or earlier).

Transferring music I can transfer music from My iPod Mini Touch to my Mac Book pro, the computer sees the iPod, but I can't see the contents of the iPod on my Mac, appreciate the help

Is the iPod Nano supported on Catalina I can't seem to sync Music, the device shows up in Finder, I can select music to sync, and when I hit sync an icon appears on the iPod, but no music is copied over. The songs I am trying to sync is downloaded on my laptop
