Hello, I am interested in buying a MacBook, I am studying systems engineering. I'm mainly between two macbooks. The macbook air m3 16gb ram 512 ssd and the macbook pro m3 8gb ram 512 ssd. Which one is the best for me? I believe that a MBP with 16gb ram would be the best option but is out of my budget right now. Thank you

I would go for more RAM on the MacBook Air, unless you really, really need the slightly nicer screen and slightly better battery life of the MacBook Pro for something. Outside of those 2 things, they are pretty much the same computer, and RAM is always better to have more of since you cannot increase it after purchase at all.

If you're talking about the base M3, the devices are identical internally with the Air being cheaper. I am a systems engineer and I love my M3 Air (I did bump to 24GB RAM).
