How to fix a folder with question mark on my MacBook Air?

Every time I open my Mac there’s a folder with a question mark. I’ve tried opening recovery mode and deleting everything in my disk and reinstalling macOS Sierra. However I only have 120.77 out of 120.99 available storage and everytime I try to install MacOS it fails

Hi,

If you back up your data by TimeMachine or iCloud Drive or the like, try to reformat internal drive with DiskUtility in Recovery Mode, then reinstall macOS which should works.

Or create bootable USB macOS installer if you have another Mac.
