That's strange, most users find it simple to use and crave even more tools and options which is why a number migrate to Final Cut Pro and fork out £300.

Your comments are completely baseless as they are simply your unsubstantiated opinions with no examples given. Perhaps you could describe how a good video editing app should be constructed.

I could say the same thing about Rolls Royce cars . . . they are absolute rubbish, poorly designed and have gizmos that 90% of users do not require . . . and those comments would be equally farcical.

Could it be that you don't understand iMovie and as a result can't use it properly . . . what 's that they say about a workman and his tools . . .?

If you have a legitimate question on the use of iMovie, please feel free to post it.

I don't understand your problem but here is how you should export a movie.

  1. Click anywhere in the timeline to make sure it is selected.
  2. Click on the small upload/export symbol at the top right of the screen and select Export File from the menu that pops up.
  3. In the next window that appears choose High in the Quality setting. Do not use Best Quality as that is for specialised circumstances that will not apply to you at the moment.
  4. Then click on Next at the bottom right whereupon a new window will appear allowing you to choose where your movie is to be saved.
  5. Finally click Save and your movie will be exported to the place you have chosen.

The export process can take some time according to the length of your video. You can observe its progress in a circular pie-chart that will appear at the top right of the iMovie window
